Aaron earned his degrees in Graphic Design and Ceramics from SDSU in Brookings, SD. After college, he spent nearly 12 years as a designer and web developer at an advertising agency in Sioux Falls, SD. He has been at his current position as UX-focused web designer and developer at a travel nursing company in Omaha, NE for 5 years.
While photography isn't his “primary gig,” it has always been a great passion. Aaron has been shooting photos for as long as he can recall. Though, his first notable endeavors came in a few brief stints as a sports photographer for some local newspapers. Shooting on B&W film, running back to the dark room, developing and prepping the photos for print was both a great challenge and a great joy.
During his college days, both for class credit and personal exploration, his focus was on portraits and industrial scenes.
Nurtured through years of observation and appreciation of the simple, beautiful and otherwise memorable scenes that surround us everyday, his current focus is on Nature and Landscapes. However, anything that catches his eye may well end up in the viewfinder.
